Heavenly Glory

The Spirit of God was hovering over the waters of the deep as he spoke at the beginning of creation. Those words from Genesis were the inspiration behind this painting. 
That light breaks through darkness and the new is revealed and breaks forth because completion is important, to not stop short of the final destination.
In this instance it took layer upon layer of paint and mark making to arrive at a place that captures this breaking forth of light and colour to resemble the image that I had on the inside of me.
The Glory of God is hovering over the waters and light is breaking forth birthing the new!
